Marsulex provides industrial services that are designed to meet our customers’ needs. We deliver innovative solutions that combine best available technology, and our demonstrated expertise in site operations, risk management, transportation, by-product removal and marketing. The skills we provide may be far removed from our customers' core businesses, and also can often achieve economies of scale that customers cannot access on their own.

Air Quality Control

Two industries where Marsulex has a significant presence are oil refining and power generation.  These industries create emissions, notably sulphur dioxide (SO2) and hydrogen sulphide (H2S), during the refining and power generation process. Control of these emissions is critical to our customers' operations, and Marsulex provides innovative tailored solutions that ensure environmental regulations are met reliably and cost effectively.

By-products and Waste Streams

In addition to air quality compliance solutions, Marsulex also provides services for handling industrial by-products. These include the regeneration of spent sulphuric acid and cutting and removal of petroleum coke for oil refiners, as well as the handling of hazardous inorganic waste streams for a broad range of industrial customers.

Industrial Chemicals

Marsulex produces and provides sulphur-enhanced chemicals to industrial customers and supplies alum, a water treatment chemical used by municipalities and other industrial companies for water and wastewater treatment. The primary market for these and other chemicals is western Canada.
