Environmental Health & Safety Policy

Consistent with MARSULEX’s commitment to safety and the protection of the environment, MARSULEX will:

• Develop appropriate operating procedures and employee training with a view to reducing the risk of personal injury, illness and environmental harm.
• Develop and provide services and solutions that promote and support environmental risk management and compliance.
• Promote the importance of health and safety practices both at and away from the workplace.
• Provide guidance to its contractors, suppliers, carriers and customers in the safe and responsible use, handling and disposal of the Company’s chemical products and of materials shipped to the Company for treatment and disposal.
• Strive to minimize the environmental impact of all its activities.
• Advocate responsible environmental regulation and enforcement.
• Comply with applicable safety, health and environmental laws and regulations.
• Encourage energy efficiency and responsible waste management.
• Maintain an appropriate and effective emergency response capability.
• Undertake periodic reviews of its assets, operations and activities and of compliance with this policy.
